The registration is now open for the special 10th Anniversary edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week, scheduled from 15 to 17 September 2025 in the scenic seaside town of Izola, Slovenia. This landmark event marks ten years since the inaugural Mediterranean Coast Day and brings together participants from all four EU macro-regional strategies, alongside key partners and stakeholders. Over time, this event has evolved into a vibrant hub for collaboration, idea-sharing, and the advancement of sustainable initiatives throughout the Mediterranean.
This year’s program will explore crucial themes such as the future of Cohesion Policy beyond 2027 and strategies to strengthen climate resilience. Attendees can look forward to lively discussions, hands-on sessions, and meaningful interactions involving policymakers, professionals, civil society representatives, and citizens at every level — from local to global.
Coinciding with the lead-up to Mediterranean Coast Day on September 25th, the event also recognizes Slovenia’s pioneering role as the first Mediterranean nation to ratify the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Protocol back in 2009.
Be part of shaping the future of sustainable cooperation in the Mediterranean region!
