As part of the 2025 Workplan of Pillar 2 (Transport) under the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), the conference “ICT Strategies and Solutions for Port-Hinterland Integration in the Adriatic and Ionian Region: Current Developments & Future Outlook” will be held on 2 October 2025, from 9:30 to 14:00, at the North Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority (ADSP MACS) – Port Authority of Ravenna (Via Antico Squero, 31 – Ground Floor Conference Room), in a hybrid format.

The initiative is closely linked to the EUSAIR Pillar 2 Transport Flagship “Adriatic-Ionian Green-Smart Port Hub Concepts”. Its goal is to encourage dialogue on how digital technologies can improve rail operation management and strengthen connections between inland hubs and port terminals, fostering collaboration across the EUSAIR port network in the Adriatic-Ionian area. The event will also provide an opportunity to present the results of the Interreg Italy-Croatia Project “CROSSFREIGHT”, which focuses on enhancing the management of rail shunting operations.

The conference is co-organised by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Institute of Transport and Logistics Foundation (ITL), and the North Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority (ADSP MACS), with support from the EUSAIR Facility Point PP6 – Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
