Croatia has taken over the Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region on 28th October 2019 in Bucharest at the EUSDR National Forum.

The presidency organized a national kick-off event in Vukovar on 6th November 2019, where they presented the new programme. The conference represented the start of Croatia’s one-year EUSDR presidency, which will last until 31 October 2020.



The project called  “Bilingualism in the Functional Tri-Border Region AT-HU-SK” was born because the multilingualism at this territory became more and more important along the past years. Consequently, in the framework of the project the work team analysed the legal frames as well as the legal and administrative obstacles of the cross-border kindergarten and primary school attendance.


The “Final Consolidated Input Document of the Danube Countries for the Revision of the EUSDR Action Plan (V1)” was published. The document describes the strategic and operational framework and details the revised targets, actions and projects for the EUSDR.


In the framework of the project CB PUMP (Cross-Border Public Urban Mobility Plan) and financed by the European initiative B-Solutions, an analysis on the cross-border public transport in Gorizia, (Italia), Nova Gorica and Šempeter- Vrtojba (Slovenia) was prepared.

The European Comission published a call for grants on Maritime Spatial Planning with the object to support the Member States in setting up maritime spatial plans and ensuring plans are coherent and coordinated across the concerned marine regions. It is important that the plans have to be adopted in line with the MSP Directive and the applicants have to follow the set priorities.

Interact has launched its newest Online Learning Course which focuses on Interreg programme management skills. The course can be reached through the Interact's Online Learning Platform and contains 9 modules, which can be completed anytime anywhere.


Romanian EUSDR Presidency and Danube Strategy Point (DSP) launched today an online consultation through EUSDR platforms for better involving civil society representatives and general public in process of updating the actions and projects of strategic impact for the Danube Region included in the EUSDR Action Plan.


Via Carpatia EGTC is launching a project call within the framework of Small Project Fund. Applications can be continuously submitted in two PAs: Nature and Culture as well as Enhancing cross-border cooperation of public authorities and people living in the border area.
